The number you can check first

The median asking multiple across the qualifying 505 is 2.53 times trailing twelve month revenue. The lowest in the file is 0.09 times. That is a published asking price next to a revenue figure a payment provider sent this week.

Four conditions put a row in. The connection is live, so the revenue is current and not frozen. Trailing revenue is at least 6,000 USD. A price is published. The multiple is 2.0 or under.

Why the cheap ones are hard to find

Marketplaces sort by newest and by biggest. Nothing sorts by what you are actually buying, which is revenue per dollar of price.

Worse, two different multiples circulate and they are not comparable. One divides by trailing twelve months, the other by the last thirty days times twelve. Compare a company on one against a company on the other and you will reach a confident wrong answer.

What you get

What a low multiple does not mean

It does not mean the business is good. A low multiple usually means revenue is falling, the work is manual, traffic comes from one channel that can close, or the seller knows something the listing does not say.

Asking price is what the seller published. Nobody paid it. There is no transaction data here and this file never pretends otherwise.
